Keep the conversation close to the money.
Message, call, send, request and split in context, with a clear review before a financial action.
Send with the reason in view
Move from the discussion to a payment review that keeps the recipient, amount, currency and funding source visible. Confirm the financial action you intend, then return to the conversation with its result. A message on its own is not a payment confirmation.
Ask for an amount without losing the thread
Send a money request beside the conversation that explains it. The recipient can review the request and decide whether to pay. Follow the request’s status without treating a sent request as money received.
Make a shared total understandable
Split a shared cost into visible shares before sending requests. Review who is included and what each person owes. A per-person Request and a shared-total Split produce different amounts.

Talk through the decision
Voice and video keep people present when a question needs more than a message. Discuss a shared expense or clarify a changed instruction, then make the payment decision through the financial review. A familiar face does not establish company signing authority.

Keep control of suggestions
Optional assistance can help recognise a possible next step in a conversation. You decide whether to open a request or payment review; a suggestion does not send money.
Connect to the wider money picture
Use the balances and financial actions available to your app account. Supported bank connections through Plaid can bring existing accounts into the experience, while consent and payment authority remain separate.

A dinner split, made clear
Four people share a CAD 240 dinner, including the organiser. Each share is CAD 60. The organiser sends three requests for CAD 60 and keeps their own share in the total. Each participant reviews their request; one person paying does not mark the other shares paid.
